It’s quiet as I sit here resting from my thoughts. The wind has calmed since the storm which has been active since early hours of this morning. Blue skies have appeared again, yet I can’t discount that there could be another storm just across the horizon. It’s a reminder of the sequences of nature. The movement of life. And sometimes it takes a storm to clear things out of our way so we can see the sun shine its light upon life again. I can’t help but notice the similarities which have played out in my personal life. Mini storms sent to clear things out. Even when I stand in the eye of a storm, there’s not much else to do other than accept the turn of events.
So often when experiencing turns of events, especially during pivotal astrological transits such as eclipses and retrogrades, it can be all so easy to be immersed in the nuances of them that we forget the larger story at play. It's something that I remind myself of often whilst manoeuvring through not only storms of life but also the brighter times of life.
Events that we experience internally or externally can completely alter our outlook, our trajectory of life or how we relate with the world around us. I generally take the stance that every experience can be utilised to help us grow and to experience a richer, more interesting life. As well as this, when an experience is due to come to an end, it can open up several avenues of exploration. It can help us to see more doors that are open as a result of having now passed through the last one that has led us to where we are. It’s all part of our personal story.
Here are some questions that I have been reflecting on recently which may also serve you on your own journey of being immersed in the unfolding of your life:
How have events in the past shaped me into the person I am today?
What are some things I have learned as a result of the experiences that I have had?
What changes can I continue to make to facilitate further change and growth?
What impact do the people I surround myself with have on my personal experience?
What impact am I having on the people around me?
What new habits can I cultivate so I can become a healthier version of myself?
What are some of the things that I enjoy most about my life experiences and how can I continue to do these on a day to day basis?
Whilst the list is not extensive, nevertheless, taking a moment to pause and reflect, has often served as ongoing motivation for actualising further change. And when life sends a storm, sometimes the wind of change can remove more of what is no longer for us and shine light upon what is.
As always, with love,
